Quality lighting in child-care centres
The overall objective of this project is to promote energy efficient lighting in child-care institutions. The objective is to be achieved through a demonstration in 3-5 selected centres where focus is put on the many possibilities that exist for installing quality lighting with low electricity consumption. The project describes lighting as a whole, i.e. day lighting and daylight utilisation. The fixed general light installations as well as the more flexible lighting i.a. adequate lighting, task lighting etc. Another objective is to acquire knowledge and to disseminate the knowledge of how energy consumption for lighting in child-care centres can be reduced while at the same time enhancing the quality of lighting.
Moreover, it is an objective to establish a number of quality criteria and key figures for the electricity consumption in different types of rooms and different types of activities, including examples of to what extent daylight can satisfy the need for lighting – wholly or partly.
