Energy calculation

Energy regulations in the two Danish Buildings Regulations in force became much stricter from 1 January 2006. The changes involved i.a. that clients at the time of applying for a building permit must document that a new building complies with the energy frame. Moreover a new energy labelling scheme was introduced that requires all new buildings to obtain an energy label before they get a use permit.  To facilitate compliance with the new requirements, SBi has elaborated SBi Direction 213 and developed a calculation program that can be used for documenting that a building complies with the new requirements.

Direction 213
Energy demand of buildings
Direction 213 consists of the calculation program Be06 and its manual, which is used to document that a building complies with the energy regulations in the Danish Building Regulations. The energy regulations entered into force on 1 January 2006.

New energy regulations
Stricter requirements to the energy consumption of buildings
Energy requirements in the two Danish Building Regulations in force became significantly stricter from 1 January 2006 and have been included in a new energy labelling scheme for buildings.

Research project in progress
Concerted Action EPBD
The objectives are to enhance and structure the sharing of information and experience gained from national implementation and also to promote good practice concepts in activities required of Member States for implementation of the EPB Directive.

Research project in progress
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, energy calculations
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences serves as an example in a project to establish a model for calculation of the energy frame of buildings in accordance with the rules stipulated in BR95 Addendum 12, using the Be06 program.
