Background for implementing the EU Directive on Energy Performance of Building in the Danish Building Regulations, Phase 1

The aim of the project is that SBi contributes to the implementation of the EU Directive on Energy Performance of Buildings in the energy regulations of the Danish Building Regulations in cooperation with the National Agency of Enterprise and Construction, which is responsible for their implementation in the Building Regulations.

Phase 1 includes work carried out up till when the draft document is circulated for comments. Phase 1 contains the following sub-tasks:

  • Finishing a calculation method to a degree sufficient that a worksheet can be used for determining the formulation and level of requirements in the hearing draft of the new energy regulations in the Danish Building Regulations.
  • Analysis of possible formulation of requirements and levels of requirements. The analysis will contain an assessment of energy savings in different types of buildings with different building layout, forms of supply and installation solutions as well as assessments of consequences in terms of economy, building solutions and indoor climate.
  • Adjustment of the worksheet in relation to the final formulation of the energy regulations in the draft submitted for comments.
