Guidelines on the Danish Building Regulations 2008
SBi Guidelines 216 explain and interpret the provisions of the Danish Building Regulations 2008 (BR08). The Guidelines are organised to match the structure of BR08; the text of the SBi Guidelines is accompanied by the full text of BR08 including the explanatory texts provided by the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority.
Moreover the Guidelines refer to relevant standards, other guidelines and relevant background material that provide more detailed information.
The Guidelines comprise the same subjects as BR08 including building control, design and layout, structures, fire safety, indoor climate, energy consumption and services.
The Guidelines are directed at all professional parties in the construction sector, especially building designers employed by consultants or contractors as well as local building controls.
Regrettably the on-line version of the Guidelines as well as amendments and corrections are available in Danish only.
A printed version of SBi Guidelines 216 is available in English.
