New research director for urban and housing research
Hans Thor Andersen, DSc has been appointed research director of the Department of Town, Housing and Property at SBi, University of Aalborg.
Dr Andersen leaves the University of Copenhagen where he was associate professor at the Institute for Geography and Geology, His research focuses on social geography and urban politics and he has previously been a visiting researcher at SBi in connection with his doctoral dissertation titled "The changing social geography of big cities".
Dr Andersen took up his new position on 1 May 2009.
